Business Excellence Award recognizes the excellence of local business.
These
awards will be presented at the President's Annual Gala on April 22, 2004,
the premier event of the Burlington business community.

the Awards:
The
Business Excellence Award recognizes overall success and excellence of local
area business.
Eligibility:
All
companies or divisions of companies that are located in the Burlington area or
are members in good standing of the Burlington Chamber of Commerce.

All
nominated companies must have been in business for 3+ years.

About
the Award
The
Mayor's Business Community Service Award will be presented to a local business
that has made a notable contribution to the quality of life in Burlington.
The award will be presented at the President's Annual Gala on April 22,
2004. At the Mayor’s discretion, an award may be presented to two companies –
(1-50 employees and 51+ employees).
Eligibility
All
companies located in the City of Burlington are eligible.
You
can nominate your own company.
Selection
Criteria
The
award recipient will be determined by the Mayor's designated selection
committee. Nominees will be selected based on their contribution to
Burlington's quality of life, making Burlington a better place in which to live
and work. Criteria include one or more of the following:

Involvement
in community programs, activities or services within the year 2003 (i.e. fundraising,
food banks, charities, etc.);

Creating
a quality work environment for its employees;

Showing
business leadership in a changing economic environment by innovation and
risk taking which enhances a particular economic sector or area of
Burlington;
-
Developing
partnerships with the public sector and community to enhance community
services and community life.

of this award over the past 5 years do not qualify.
